Educators and psychologists alike agree that most of life’s blueprints are drawn throughout impressionable and formative school years. It is during those years that character traits, study habits, attitudes and basic skills are molded. Students attending Coast Episcopal represent a cross-section of interests and abilities, as well as a variety of backgrounds. Yet, all of our students share a common bond: an enthusiasm for learning. At Coast Episcopal we direct this love of learning so that each student may develop his full potential intellectually, creatively, emotionally, socially, physically, and spiritually.
We are firmly committed to the idea that learning and growing flourish in an atmosphere of mutual tolerance, and openness to new thoughts, and respectfulness of everyone’s freedom to share and question new ideas. We seek to teach our students logical and creative thinking skills, reading perception, coherent writing and effective speaking. Students are taught to listen and process information through questions, observations and investigation. We encourage and foster interest in the arts and the development of aesthetic values. We strive to impart a continuing interest in learning, a spirit of respect for others, a sense of community responsibility and a deeper understanding of ourselves in God’s world.
