The Gail Keenan Art Center is excited to offer three upcoming workshops to be led by three of the artists featured in our current exhibit, Paper Fools.
Paint, collage, stitch with Suzanne Findeisen

Participants will be introduced to a variety of painting techniques used to create a collection of interesting papers. Papers will be flat-ironed and used in collage compositions. Several collage gluing and stitching processes will be demonstrated with examples on hand for viewing.
All supplies included. Mat board and cigar boxes will be available to use. Bring any newspaper, magazines, or special images to collage. Other things like small trinkets, beads, or lone earrings can be attached to work as well.
Art of Mardi Gras Glittering & Transfer Class with Yuki Northington

Ready to learn the magic behind Muses Shoes? Artist & Muse Yuki Northington will be leading this adult class and spilling the tea on all of her glittering ways. Learn techniques on glittering, sealing, trimming, embellishments and transfers. Grab a group of your gal pals for a fun night out. Techniques can be used on anything…cups, shells, tambourines, etc. Students will take home a finished Glittered Shell project.

Give your animal a whole new story by creating a new setting for it!
We will use print outs of vintage photos of animals and give them a whole new story by adding various papers, confetti, etc. to make a background, a crown, a headpiece, a new outfit, a cape, a new home, anything you can dream up!
