Coast Episcopal School recently hosted a Financial Opportunity Night to share exciting news about state and federal programs designed to lower tuition for CES families and support our school’s future.
As CES enrollment remains strong and our students continue to thrive, we are committed to making a Coast Episcopal School education accessible and affordable for our community.
During the session, we highlighted two key financial programs:
-
Education Freedom Tax Credit (Federal Program – Launching January 1, 2027):
A new federal scholarship initiative allows U.S. taxpayers to receive a dollar-for-dollar federal income tax credit for donations to approved scholarship-granting organizations, up to $1,700 for individual filers and $3,400 for married couples filing jointly.
Under this program, up to 90% of school-age children could qualify for tuition support (covering households with incomes up to 300% of the area median income). Best of all, you can redirect tax dollars you already owe directly to Coast Episcopal School! This opportunity is open to any U.S. citizen who pays federal income taxes, not just current CES families. It’s a simple way to keep your tax dollars local and support our students.
-
Mississippi ESCO Tax Credit – Children’s Promise Act (State Program):
This program offers eligible businesses a dollar-for-dollar state tax credit for contributions made to approved Educational Services Charitable Organizations (ESCOs), offsetting up to 50% of certain Mississippi tax liabilities. Because statewide credits are capped and require timely preparation, local business participation is key.
